2 Broke Girls - Season 1

2 Broke Girls was created by Whitney Cummings and Michael Patrick King, the comedy is centred on a pair of financially struggling roommates who live and work in Williamsburg, N.Y.After realising that Caroline has been sleeping on the subway, Max decides to take her in (along with her horse, Chestnut) and teaches her how to live off of nothing. In return, Caroline, who graduated from a well-known business school, sees potential in Max’s cupcakes and insists on helping her start up a cupcake shop. The sharp-tongued Max Black (Kat Dennings) is barely getting by with both a waitressing job and a babysitting job when her boss decides to hire another waitress to help her out instead of giving her the extra hours that she desperately desires. Max is even more irritated to learn that the new hire is Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs), a rich socialite who lost all of her money when her father went to prison for fraud and is now attempting to survive in the real world by herself.
Each week the two tackle another obstacle that comes along with trying to raise money to start the business. Although they usually end up losing money, they manage to keep their spirits up by making fun of customers and laying down a few dozen sexual innuendos per episode. There is a very diverse supporting cast, including the perverted short-order cook Oleg (Jonathan Kite), 75-year-old-cashier Earl (Garrett Morris), and penny-pinching boss Han (Matthew Moy), plus a very kooky Polish business woman Sophie (Jennifer Coolidge) also give the girls plenty of joke material.

Money making/saving schemes, which have so far involved back-alley dentists, drug trials, extreme couponing, helping out hoarders, pop-up sales and kosher cupcakes, keep the show hilarious and the audience wondering what on earth they will come up with next. Still far from their goal of a quarter of a million dollars, there are sure to be many more schemes to come.

While the show has gotten a lot of greif for being crude and relying too much on stereotypes as a source of humor, 2 Broke Girls is still going strong ratings-wise, even winning the People’s Choice Award for Favorite New TV Comedy (so they must be doing something right). Perhaps this is because it offers something that television has been lacking since the good ol' days of Friends. After watching countless shows pin women against each other for dramatic effect, the idea of having two women of different backgrounds work together is so refreshing to see.
These two also manage to bring out the best in each other. Max may pride herself on being a tough cookie, but on multiple occasions she puts herself out there to help Caroline. Likewise, Caroline may seem like a typical rich brat, but with Max’s sarcastic encouragement, she actually tries to be a better worker.
2 Broke Girls reminds us that there’s a certain flare to being poor that the rich will never know. It’s that pleasure that comes from paying your taxes on time, saving a a quid on cake mix, scoring something awesome at the Goodwill, or just having poor fun with your best friend.
This show is a must watch I promise you that you will crying from laughing, the writers of the show hit the nail on the head with the jokes and it gets me every-time!

Tresor Paris SALE!

I am very bad at sale shopping in the stores, but online that is a different story! One afternoon I happened to be doing some online window shopping when I came across the Tresor Paris 80% off sale, so of course I was only that like nobody's business!
I generally could not believe it, at first I thought I had came across a fake Tresor site but nope it was legit. Realising it was legit, that was it I was going through all the sale items and putting shed loads of jewelry into my basket. As it was 80% off certain lines my shopping brain went on and thought I would be passing up a great opportunity if I did not purchase a new bracelet considering the one I wanted happened to be £49.99 full price and in the sale it was £9.80, bargain or what?! The next thing that happened to find its way into my basket were these beautiful pearl earrings I had been eyeing up for month but couldn't bring myself to buy as they were £24.99 for the smallest size but one sale they were a grand total of £4.20. I did purchase a ring as well but as it didn't have a size option I assumed it was just a one size fits all kind of ring but apparently it wasn't when it came it was a size N but it did fit mum perfectly so I gave it to her, perfect daughter awards goes to me!
The sale is still on guys so get shopping! The items on sale are from the lines that are being discontinued so hurry they're are going fast as they are dirt cheap!

hope you enjoyed reading about the sale
do you love your Tresor Paris too?

My Nail Polish Collection

Something happened 23rd August 2012 not only did I finally turn 16 but my best friend
brought me two colours from the Rimmel London lasting finish collection pear drop and hot 'n' spicy to this day still two of my favourite colours I own. Since then my nail polish collection has grown - I now own 35 nail polishes all thanks to Paige Wyllie. Well after my
16th birthday I went shopping with my friends to buy things (shocker!who would have thought you go shopping to buy stuff? not me!) and i saw some nail polishes from this collection I had gotten for my birthday so I picked up a couple as it was 3 for 2 who can't resist an offer? From that point onward I had the need to complete this collection. After i had completed it I was on the hunt for a pastel yellow as I had seen Butter London's Jasper but i refused to pay £13 for a bottle of nail polish! I soon came across the Topshop bees knees but couldn't bring myself to buy it as I felt like I needed a nail polish time out.

However, compared to all the beauty guru's my collection is minuscule for example SparklyBarbiexo has over 100 bottles of OPI and they aren't cheap either!
So a year later I turned 17 and yet
again LittleMissPaige28 got me more nail polish but to my surprise it included a pastel yellow yay *fist pump*
but Rach has also got me a pastel yellow can you take any guesses to which one, yup the Topshop one I had wanted for months! It's safe to say I have amazing friends! Not to long ago Rimmel had brought out a new line to their lasting finish collection so obviously I had to purchase the ones i wanted - can you expect anything different from a nail polish addict? I certainly wouldn't. So are you wondering where my Essie came into this? Well
Paige (LittleMissPaige28) had purchased Where's My Chauffeur after Christmas and in the Summer months she had added Fiji to her collection. So when I was doing a bit of on the line shopping on Superdrug i had a quick look at what they had in their Essie
range; I was amazed by these metal effects and I'm really into my blues recently so
I purchased Blue Rhapsody. Quite recently Rach and I took a trip to Liverpool to check out the University and when looking at Unis you HAVE to check out the shopping center so that is exactly what we did. I found four Superdrug's and had to pop in to had a browse and pick up a couple of Christmas presents I w
as doing great until i came across the Essie stand and had seen the nail polish from the Autumn collection I've wanted since it was released and right next to it was the Luxeeffects topcoats. What can I say I'm an impulsive shopper so i purchased After School Boy Blazer and Stroke of Brilliance, woops.

Hope you enjoyed reading something new
have a relaxing evening guys

My View on Kindles

For my 16th birthday mum and had and given me my little baby and I can say that I would not know what to do without it nowadays.
At first Kindles did not have me on their side and I thought they were slowing killing off book shops, but then papa got one for Christmas and tried to get me on the Kindle band wagon and I was having none of. That was until father made me read Catching Fire on the Kindle and from that point on I was on the Kindle team, every chance I could get I stole dads Kindle to read a book. Then the Kindle Touch and that was all I would talk about for months hoping that it would be made clear to the parents that I wanted a Kindle for my birthday.

I cant see both sides of the Kindle, personally I think they make reading ten times easier as it is literally a book shelf on a device. I think you can hold up to 10,000 books on any Kindle (it's that just brilliant?!). Although on the other hand you don't have to charge a book plus if you drop a book it won't break into a million pieces, you can get a book wet and it'll dry and you have the pleasure on turning a page and upon finishing a book you get to close the book. But I'm sorry to all anti-Kindle people but I am very pro Kindle and will be for a long time to come, they have revolutionised the reading industry and younger generation will be more inclined to reading on a Kindle as it is a electronic device and makes them feel old

Besides I have read at least 70 books since having my Kindle and with the Amazon store you can download loads of free samples of books and even short stories to get you hooked and buy the full book or it can save you money you may buy a full book and find it really boring then you just wasted £4.99 when you can purchase the free sample to try it out.

This year I am doing the 50 book challenge with my daddio and I wouldn't be able to do it without my little baby and at the moment I'm up 3 currently reading I heart Paris by Lindsey Kelk it's a great read check it out

what's your views on the Kindle?

Dressing Up Those Feet

If you're a bit like me then you will dress up your feet at any chance you get!
The perfect opportunity to to get those feet some heel loving care is at a party/social event.
New Look - £19.99
These little babies happened to be my proms shoes, they look gorgeous but they hurt like a bitch but you don't feel the pain until a couple of hours after you put the monsters on. Anyway down to the technical shiz. They are a classic peep toe 6" heel. As you can tell the heel is thicker than the standard stiletto and that makes them so much easier to walk in. An added bonus to the shoe is than they have an inch platform which again makes them easier to walk in. Thank God (but they still cause tremendous amounts of pain to my feet).
New Look - £29.99

My newest little purchase were these bad boys!
These guys are my pride and joy of my fancy footwear. There are many things I LOVE about these shoes one being they are so damn comfortable plus I'm a sucker for a cute buckle detail on a pair of shoes so obviously I had to get them, how could I not!
Also with like a 7 inch heel and a 2 inch platform they are probably the easiest pair of heels to walk in! Oh as an added extra they have tread so it makes them clubbing weather-proof and they look like they cost way more than they actually were.
New Look £22.99

I went through a stage when I would only wear boots including heels so these little guys were part of this stage. They also happen to be my first pair of 6 inch heels, I felt so liberated walking out of the shop with the shoes in a bag waiting to be wore to a party. Mind you I have actually only worn them 3 times - oops but for £22.99 you really can't complain also they have a platform but you just can't see it.

New Look SALE - £10

So far all my heels have been black and these baby's were not only my first pair of nude shoes but my first pair of wedges and from the point I slipped my feet into them the wedge had won me over. They are so comfy, you don't get achy foot after a long night and they are easy to walk in what more can you ask for. On since you asked they were reduced down from £29.99 to a tenner, that's right a tenner!
How could I refuse to take them home with me, I couldn't that's the answer and I do not regret a thing.
New Look - £14.99

After my cheeky little purchase of my lace wedges mumma went out and done the same thing but with cut out black ones - which she never wore may I add; so I got them (yay!).
New Look - £8.99
New Look - £12.99
Once again they're from New Look can you see a pattern occurring? But in all seriousness New Look produce some amazing heels

Right if you're not an high heel type of girl or a wedge type of girl then you have two other option remaining a smaller dressy shoes or a really fancy pair of flats, both of which I am sporting

My Mug of Makeup Brushes

First of all I would just like to clarify that I am not 40, my dad got this mug from his mum and he didn't want plus I need a place to put all my brushes so it was a win-win situation. Anyway this mug contains all my 14 makeup brushes and most of them I do actually use and some I only use when I'm going out and I want a really well done makeup look. My brush collection consists of 7 Real Technique brushes, 2 Barry M, 1 Urban Decay brush, 1 The Body Shop brush, 1 Eco Tools brush and a brush from a brand that I'm not sure what the name is.

The Expert Face brush
L-R; Deluxe Crease brush, Shader
brush, Brow brush, Fine Liner
brush and Accent brush
The expert face brush happened to be the first makeup brush I ever purchased myself and I really don't know why. I had heard some many good things about Real Techniques from a lot of Beauty Bloggers/Gurus. The thing that pulled me in was that they were affordable and stocked in the local drugstores. Plus I had been alternating between applying my foundation with my hands (which made me very patchy) and makeup sponges (which ended falling part) so I opted for the famous expert face brush and I have not looked back since this very purchase my brush collection has increased dramatically. As I stated earlier I have a collection of 7 Real Techniques brushes the next brush I added to the collection was the blush brush, it is a perfect shape to apply blush and picks up a lot of colour so you don't need to put at lot on the brush.
The Blush brush
So by March time is was pretty much an advocate for Real Technique's brushes so the next type of brushes I wanted to add to my collection were the eye brushes and at that time I had been relying solely on my urban decay double ended eye makeup brush that came with the naked 2 palette. But every time I went to get them they were out of stock (boo!) however my wonderful little Aimee gave them to me for my birthday and I've been using them ever since, they are so handy!
As I mentioned this little baby used to be my holy grail of makeup brushes as it happened to be the only one I owned and only because I got it free with my Naked 2 palette. However, it goes without saying this is a very good brush for starting out. It has a flat shading brush at one end and a fluffy crease brush at the other. This is everything you could want in a good brush, but saying that there are many brushes out there that are better than this one quality wise.

This little beauty just above it absolutely brilliant for apply bronzer, it must say it is very similar to the Real Techniques Duo Fibre brushes in the way it applies the product to your face. A little bit of product on this brush certainly does go a long way.

Barry M Powder Brush
Barry M Shading Brush
EcoTools Crease Brush
Right so after careful consideration (I say careful consideration - I just needed it!) I decided to purchase the Barry M powder brush as I had no brush to do so. This brush is great as it doesn't pick up a lot of the product onto the brush which then in turn would make you look cakey (fist pump). In the same purchase I picked up this little beauty on the right is the Barry M shading brush and I give you 2 guesses on what it is used for. That's right applying eyes shadow to the eyelid. Now there are two more important brushes left to mention and both are equally as amazing. I originally brought the Body Shop angle brush for gel liner and lining my eyelids with dark eye shadows but I now use to to shape and fill in my brows. I would not be able to live without this brush - cant be dealing with pencils anymore. Lastly is the EcoTools blending brush and yet again I purchased for a different purpose to how i use it now. I originally purchased it to use as a concealer brush but that lasted about a week and I saw its full potentially as a blending brush.

My MAC Palette

I must say over the Christmas period I was a very lucky girl, I must say I happened to be very spoiled this year! My favourite present hands down was my MAC 15 pan palette, eeek! I had been asking for this palette since my birthday and that was way back in August. On Christmas Day my beloved MAC pro palette started to build up, Mum and Dad and given me the 15 pan insert and the casing as well as Omega, Bronze and Woodwinked. There's me thinking I am the luckiest girl in the world have such amazing parents who have given me this amazing gift (also me being a makeup-aholic I know MAC is not cheap!). But no the building up of my palette did not stop there my Nan also got on the band wagon and gave me Sketch and Naked lunch (mind you that was mum's idea, so thank you mummy). Then my aunt decided that she would treat me and also purchased a eye shadow for me, this one being Era.

I am so over the moon with this present, along with my TrollBeads bracelet this is something I have wanted for a long time.
Priced at £10 per pan eye shadow you are really get a lot for your money, the pigmentation of the shadows are phenomenal you really do not need a lot on the brush to gain a full eye look.
Personally I love my neutrals, I mean what girl doesn't? But when I saw Tanya from Youtube's Tanya Burr talk about Sketch I immediately fell in love with the colour. If you want to branch out for your everyday neutrals and browns this the perfect colour to do so with as it isn't boom in your face and it can be very subtle if you blend it properly, plus it has flecks of gold in the colour - and I love my shimmer shadows!
I love all the colours in my new Mac palette, however if I had to choose one it would definitely be Woodwinked it is just a beautiful light brown/tan shimmery colour and it wears so well during the day.

Viva La Juicy Noir

30ml EDT and 10ml EDP
I started the 2013 hating this perfume, not because the smell as I have never smelled it before but because I hated the Juicy Couture brand, I know I judged the book. Although I got a chance to finally smell it in September 2013 and I just fell in love and at that time Taylor Swift's Enchanted Wondestruck happened to be my favourite scent and this soon kicked it off the top spot but I didn't have the money to get it anyway so I kept bugging mum for it up until November when she told me to shut up, I don't blame her I was getting irritating.
Although all that persistent bugging really did pay off as what was part of my Santa's sack this year, of course Viva La Juicy Noir!
I just want to start by saying how cute is the bottle?! I'm not a huge fan of pink, but this I love! With the faux gem top and the black bow ribbon it is one of the classier and girlier bottles I have sitting on my shelf. With notes of jasmine, honeysuckle, wild berries, strawberry, mandarin, caramel, vanilla and sandalwood this is very much a fruity floral scent, which one of my favourite types of scents. But I think this is a very sophisticated fruity scent and because it is jam packed with different berries it wears very well during the day. You really do not need to top up in the day even when you are wearing the EDT because it is suck a strong scent, I recently got told I smelled really good by a friend of mine so it really must smell good if a guy noticed it. This scent has replaced my beloved Enchanted Wonderstruck recently and now remains in the top spot and will do for a while.

How My Nail Polish Collection Grew Over The Festive Season

I must say I have been VERY good this festive season as I haven't purchased any nail polish, how good is that?! Okay I might be fibbing a little, what I couldn't help myself it was in a gift set! You know what I'm not even sorry as the two colours I purchased I wore most of November and December. Anyway over the Christmas period I gained 13 bottles of nail polish, that is right, I gained 13 bottles to my already overflowing nail polish collection. Not that I am complaining in the slightest.
L-R; Nicole by OPI Yellow It's Me, Studio London
Peach and Red

Mum and Dad are know very aware at the extent my addiction to nail polish is. Therefore they thought it would be a clever idea to buy me a bottle of nail polish from on of my favourite brands. My Nan decided to give me an 8 bottle gift set with 2 nail effects for Christmas. I'd never actually owned anything from Studio London before so when I had got in I did a tiny bit of research and was soon disappointed that they don't give cool and funky names to their products, boo!

L-R; Dark Green, Glitter and Black and Gold
L-R; Hot Pink, Baby Pink and Taupe
Essie's Chinchilly and Bahama Mama,
OPI Mariah Carey Visions of Love, Warm Me Up,
All Sparkly and Gold, Wonderours Star
Peach and Gold Glitter
Although I had never heard of this brand before I am very pleased with the formulation of the nail lacquer and you only need two coats tops but with the lighter colours you need a minimum of 3.
Now onto my naughty Essie purchase, well I don't really have an excuse. The only thing I can say is that they're really pretty colours with awesome names and so festive, am I right?!
Now one of my bestest friends in the whole world Deeya was so kind and knows me to well and gave me and OPI Mariah Carey gift set for Christmas, eeek! I generally was so excited I started to squeal when I was unwrapping the present. Although I am disappointed by the size of the actually bottle 3.75ml they are so tiny! But the colour pay off certainly doesn't disappoint, even the glitter 'overcoats' they are so opaque you can wear them as a base rather than an over coat.

Paige's 18th, Oh Wow!

If you follow Paige's blog or instagram you would know that this time last week my little Paige turned the big 1-8! That's right she is now all grown up (sheds tear) and she hosted one heck of a party!

And I personally think she did a pretty damn good job if I'm honest, everyone had a great time, no-one was sick and beer pong was played and as a bonus the girls won 6-0. Females are definitely the ultimate gender!

Oh the boys had a great jam session for a good half an hour - but i was only able to film 8 minutes of it but it is still comedy gold!

Hope you had a great Saturday night

Soap and Glory - The Breakfast Scrub

I tried a bucket load of body scrubs throughout the whole of 2013 and Soap and Glory's The Breakfast Scrub came out on top.
This scrub consists of all natural ingredients so for you organic freaks this product is perfect for you. The ingredients consist of organic capuacu bio scrubs, bananas, almonds, honey extracts, oats, shea butter and sugar.
Jam packed full of all the best nutrients for your skin there is no surprise why your skin will feel super soft after stepping out the shower or bath. Just take a handful of the scrub from the pot and rub between your palms and apply to your damp skin in circular motions. When i say damp i really mean damp when you apply to wet skin it just falls off and you do not get the desired softness you crave.
The consistency of the scrub is so thick but due to the thickness it is very moisturising and a must have for your bathroom shelf
At first you may think it may be harsh on your skin due to the bigger bits in the scrub but honestly it is one of the most nourishing scrubs you will ever try. It is definitely a cult favourite plus it came runner up for best beauty product of 2012 plus everyone who has it says they cannot live without it anymore.

Plus I would just like to put it out there that I've had mine since August and I use mine every time I am in the bath and it's not even half empty because you only need the smallest amount for silky smooth skin.

I genuinely cannot say anymore nice thing about this scrub the only downside to this product is that it is £10 and you can only purchase Soap and Glory product from boots or online at Soap and Glory but other than that this is a top notch product that has deserved it rightful place in my bathroom and as soon as it's empty I will most definitely be running to boots to repurchase.
