A Little Beauty Treat

Okay okay you got me! It's not so much a treat as an incredible christmas gift from the bestie!
Every year for the last couple of years Paige and I partake in early Christmas. Early Christmas happens on Christmas Eve where the Dream Team get to exchange gifts.
This year I was absolutely spoilt by this girl and the Bobbi Brown Warm Eye Palette was just one of the amazing gifts she had given me.

Let's start off by talking about how gorgeous this packaging is?!
Bobbi Brown are renowned for their sleek packaging and this Limited Edition holiday collection was certainly no different. The gold trimming and text of the casing truly compliments the deep chocolate brown exterior. The fact that this palette is also quite small and slim means it is perfect for travelling. Plus you have  an everyday eye look as well as a 'night on the town' look all in one place.
So lets take a look underneath the lid...

L-R; Bone, Champagne Quartz, Malted, Gold, Sable & Espresso
The Warm Eye Palette includes 6 absolutely stunning shades perfect for every look you want to achieve! You also get a double ended eye brush which actually works really well with the Gold.
The shadows transfer from the brush to your lid so easily because they are so buttery in texture. This makes for a more pigmented eyeshadow and with the help of a good eyeshadow primer will stay on for a while.
My go to look with this palette Bone swept across the whole lid and up to the brow bone as a base shade. After that I use Malted across the whole entirety of the lid. Malted is a very light beige which is perfect for a subtle or 'no makeup' makeup look. You could finish there however I deepen the look by adding Sable to the crease and completing my eye makeup by adding the smallest amount of espresso to the outer corner.
There are many looks you can achieve with this little beauty but that was just one of my everyday looks.
Have you tried any of the eyeshadows from Bobbi Brown's range?
if so let me know as I'd like to try some more
that's all for now

Warner Brother Tour Take 2

For Christmas (be the loving girlfriend I am) I brought myself and Jack tickets to go to the Warner Brothers Studio Tour London - The Making of Harry Potter.
Some of you may already know well that's if you've read my blog for a while that back in 2012 I had visited the Tour with my good friends Deeya and Rachael.
When I went the first time I didn't really get to take everything in as I was just in awe of everything. However this time was different I picked up on all the little things that I missed last night for example  The sword of Gryffindor in Dumbledore's Office or the creepy hand from Borgen and Burke's.
I planned this trip very strategically as in the winter the Studio Tour undergoes a little make over called 'Hogwarts in the Snow'. During this transformation they put out all their Christmas decorations and tree. Anyone who has been knows one of the first sets you visit on the tour is the Great Hall. This too was all Christmasy with 4 tress out and both house tables covered in festive foods.

In the theme of Hogwarts in the Snow we learned the how snow and ice were created for the films. I don't know what I was expecting but I defiantly wasn't expecting that for sure! I don't want to crush the hopes and dreams for any of the other fans because you look at Hogwarts during the winter in a completely different light - it's Quidditch all over again!

You can't go to the Studio Tour without having a go on the broomstick and I already had a go once before but how can I not! Although as Jack and I were queuing for me to have and go on the broomstick he suggested and that we go in the flying Ford Anglia. As a couple we are awful at having pictures taken together but this one is my favourite.
Did you know that there are only 3 places in the whole world where you can purchase butterbeer? London is one of those 3 so being there how could I not dabble in a bit of butterbeer drinking?
Plus you just have to get a souvenir cup when you get you refreshing butterbeer! Although you do face the dilemma of what to do with your cup once you've finished. There's nowhere to wash it out and it's really sticky.

One of the most beautiful things I saw that day was the Hogwarts castle covered in snow.
It was so breathtakingly stunning. If my phone wasn't running out of battery I could have easily stood there for another hour just looking at it. I mean it's stunning throughout the duration of the year but seeing it covered in a blanket of snow was something else entirely!

After you leave the castle room you enter the room on wand boxes. Anyone you had worked on any of the film in the slightest from extras to set designers to directors to the main cast who we know and love earned themselves a wand box. Jack and I found quite a few of the main cast. But we did spend a go 20 minutes finding them - it is really tricky.

After a good 4 hours of walking around appreciating all the efforts of everything everyone put into these films and about 350 pictures between the two of us the tour had come to an end to our dismay. But there was always money to spend in the gift shop and that's exactly what I did. I was given Quidditch Through the Ages for christmas from mumma and papa so in spirit of having the whole collection I purchased Tales of Beedle the Bard and Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. Along with those to book I picked up the Film Wizardry due to the persistence of Paige and you can't go there without picking up a house keyring! So I grabbed a Slytherin keyring for myself and a Gryffindor one for Paige. Jack on the other hand walked out with nothing.
After a very long day it was time for the two of us to head home in Scarlet in the hope that soon we will be back.

Have any of you guys been on the tour before?
Or have you been a multitude of times?
that's all for now

Acceptance is the First Step

Okay it's time for me to admit it...
I have an addiction and it's to Benefit Cosmetics
Obviously it wasn't my fault this addiction can about who am I to blame other than the one person who got me hooked the one and only best friend Paige. I swear that girl gets me hooked on everything thing beauty related - nail polish, Benefit and now REN.

It started Summer last year when I was queuing in Boots with a bunch of Essie in my hands - as you do. I saw that a miniature They're Real was on offer and Paige being Paige had been banging on about how fantastic this mascara was and trying to convince me that I needed it in my life. Oh how she was correct and it was a slippery slop downhill from there.

I was okay I didn't have a need for any more Benefit cosmetics I was doing fine with my drugstore beauty products and my MAC shadows. That was until my birthday when yet again Paige (can you see where the issues lies?) had given me a Dandelion and Hoola gift set. I fell instantly in love with  all the products in the set! That's when I needed more - September came and thats when I had acquired 3 out of 4 balm's from the new range and two miniature lip and cheek tints.  My addiction was satisfied for the time being. I say that over the coming months I acquired the peek-a-boo bright eyes eyes set and the beautiful big eyes set, sorry not sorry.

That was until Christmas came around guess who got be more Benefit products yet that's it you guessed it Paige! I got the the cheek set which included a miniature dandelion, sugar bomb, bellabamba, coralista, rockateur and hoola blush. Those blushes are just so gorgeous I want them all full sized!
Then Jack my wonderfully amazing Boyfriend literally got me a goodie box of Benefit make-up.
I got things that ranged from the they're real push up liner to the watt's up highlighter and I use every single item!

Not only did Jack give me Benefit for Christmas so did my little brother and nan, I had an endless supply of Benefit make-up. I could probably become a spokesperson for Benefit with the amount of make-up I own.

As I know full well I'm not going to stop with this addiction any time soon as proven Friday when I got the Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow foundation
Are there any products you guys rave about from Benefit?
If so let me know in the comments below

I'm Back... and With a New Bag!

I know it's been a while guys and there is nothing I can do than apologise. There's really no excuse for not blogging for 6 MONTHS!
So I thought I'd fill you all in on the last 6 months of my life.
So first of all I qualified as  lifeguard back in July then I met my wonderful boyfriend Jack who I am still with 5 months next Tuesday (hehe). It was then my 18th birthday in August also in August I was accepted into the University of Bedfordshire. September was a hectic month as I passed my driving test and started University - exciting times. In October I got my first car a Toyota Aygo Go! - her name is Scarlet. Not much happened in November and December (other than Christmas and New Years). Anyway that's you updated with the last 6 moths of my life and let's get onto why you really clicked onto this post... My handbag.

This bag was a recent purchase and in Topshop anyone who knows me knows that I'm not really a big fan of Topshop as I know I can get the exact same item in New Look or River Island for half the price. Anyway I was having a little browse in my spare time between lectures at uni and I decided to have a little snoop around Topshop when I saw my bag and that was it I was in love but I could't afford it with Christmas around the corner. However, on Christmas Day my lovely aunt gave me a nice little £20 gift voucher for Topshop. On New Years Eve my family and Jack went into London to see the fireworks and we took a stroll down Oxford Street, walked past Topshop, saw the massive sale and decided that I would finally get my gorgeous bag and I did so with the sale, my Topshop voucher and my student discount my bag went from £60 to £14.20, woop woop!
The gold detailing of the bag gives the bag a sense of sophistication especially since the bag itself is made from worn leather material. The feature that caught my attention was the closing. The fold for the opening of the bag is magnetic so there's no need to worry about those pesky poppers or fiddly clasps as you just fold the material over and hey presto your bag is closed!

So in the contents I my gorgeous bag I have the usual female essentials: the purse, useless receipts, both house and car keys and don't forget that all important pen!

Not only have you got to have your womanly essentials but you got to have some beauty products on the go too! This is why I also take one of my Benefit balms with me not only are they so moisturising but they add that little pop of colour. Also recently I got my first Travello - best purchase ever! It's a mini perfume on the got so you don't have to lug round your full size bottle. The best thing about it is that once it's empty you can refill it with a different perfume and the 2 scents won't mix - how amazing?!

You then have to have something to keep you entertained during the day, obvs! Since starting at uni me and my dude best friend have been visiting Costa a lot not as frequently as Paige but I'll let her tell you that story. Anyway some days when he's not in I still pop down to costa inbetween lectures have a coffee and read my kindle or a book (currently it's Zoe Sugg's Girl Online - fantastic btw!)
Also on these lonely days at uni and walking around campus on me ones music is my only source of entertainment therefore my beats come with my no matter what.
Since I'm at uni I'm obligated to carry around my student ID and in all honesty it's not a bag
                                                                                 picture, woop woop!

Some of the more random bits I carry around are my beanie, a bit of fruits and my shades. Now the shades are quite practical to be fair. I carry them for when I'm in my car and the sun really gets in my eyes - told you it was logical! Now the beanie is incase it's windy outside. If you're one of the lucky ones your hair will stay in place and look fantastic but I however am not that girl. My hair goes absolutely everywhere in the wind so beanie is a must have in the winter. As for the fruit well sometimes I get hungry in my lectures and you don't want to hear a loud stomach growl because that's so embarrassing.

Now I've updated you on my life and my new bag - aren't you all lucky!
has the contents of your handbag changed over the last 6 months?
or has your handbag changed?
lovely catching up with you all
